Enclosed auto transport is a type of car shipping service that provides additional protection over an open auto transport truck. Typically, enclosed shipping is reserved for vehicles that are more valuable than a standard car, particularly antiques, sports cars, high-end luxury cars, classic cars, etc.

A bill of lading is an inspection report on the condition of your vehicle. Your signature on the bill of lading confirms that you agree with the conditions as stated by the driver. The bill of lading will be agreed by you at pick up and available to you to inspect at delivery.

DC Auto Transport LLC carries any one vehicle $1 million worth of cargo insurance with zero deductible to you. An insurance certificate is available upon request. Higher limits are available upon request as well, please call for more info.

Your car must be in good working condition and clean. It should start, run, and stop safely. Vehicles should not have more than a quarter tank of gas due to DOT weight restrictions. Please note that if you requested to have your vehicle covered it must be SPOTLESS clean.

According to federal guidelines, placing contents in the vehicle is prohibited. Speak to our agents to see if there are any exceptions to this law, in your given circumstance.

We try to go door-to-door on both ends if there is truck access. Vehicles are transported on large, semi-trucks so if you live on a narrow street, we may have to coordinate a pickup/delivery at a nearby parking lot or shopping center where there is ample space for the truck to maneuver to load/unload the vehicle. In special cases you may also drop off/pick up your vehicle at our temperature-controlled storage located at 3025 142nd Ave E st 102 Sumner, WA 98390 if you prefer.

Yes, we request that you, or a designated person over the age of 18 must be present upon pick up and/or delivery of your vehicle. An inspection is performed during both at pick-up and delivery and a contract bill of lading must be signed.

A coast to coast vehicle transport trip usually takes from 7 to 10 days. Shorter auto shipping trips can take from 1 to 7 days, depending on the distance. Traffic, inclement weather, truck breakdowns, seasonal fluctuations and other unforeseen events may delay the auto shipping of your vehicle. Pickup and delivery dates are estimated but are not guaranteed, but do not worry we will always be in contact keeping you updated.

Drivers are trained to carefully look over a car before it is loaded to note any scratch/ding/dent, anything, and everything to acknowledge the condition of the car before it is loaded. The drivers are trained in proper tie down techniques, loading & unloading techniques and know where to position cars to make the safest ride across the country.

Yes, your vehicle will remain on the same carrier. We are NOT a broker company and have our own fleets.
